Tommy Hilfiger has announced an exciting new limited-edition capsule collection in partnership with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team and New York City-based artist, author, and designer Clarence Ruth. This collaboration merges Tommy Hilfiger’s signature preppy style with the bold innovation of the Mercedes-AMG F1 Team, resulting in a motorsport-inspired lifestyle collection.
The 10-piece ready-to-wear collection features Clarence Ruth’s unique interpretation of Hilfiger’s classic aesthetic, enhanced by the dynamic influence of Formula One racing. Key pieces in the collection include a color-blocked varsity jacket, embroidered chino pants, and football jerseys adorned with the racing numbers of the F1 drivers. A standout item is a T-shirt featuring a care label-inspired print that mimics a Formula One car dashboard, as well as an all-new ice-hockey jersey.
Each piece in the collection prominently displays logos from Tommy Hilfiger, Mercedes-AMG F1 Team, and Ruth’s own fashion label, Cotte D’Armes.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Clarence Ruth expressed his excitement and the creative challenges he faced: “Designing this collection challenged me to step outside my comfort zone and think more creatively. I usually design tailored pieces, so with sports being at the base of this collection, I had to think a little more outside the box. It’s been an incredible journey collaborating with the Tommy Hilfiger and Mercedes-AMG F1™ teams, selecting colors and finalizing designs.”
The collection will debut at the Barcelona Grand Prix, with Mercedes-AMG Formula One Team drivers George Russell and Lewis Hamilton showcasing the pieces from June 21 to 23.

The Tommy X Mercedes-AMG F1 X Clarence Ruth collection will be available starting June 20 at their websites and select Tommy Hilfiger stores.
