Louis Vuitton Opens First Deluxe Chocolate Store in China Ahead of Qixi Festival

Louis Vuitton is making a sweet addition to its luxury portfolio with the launch of its first deluxe chocolate store in China, just in time for the Chinese Valentine’s Day (Qixi) celebrations. This new location, situated in the Taikoo Li Qiantan shopping mall in Shanghai, marks only the third chocolate store for the iconic maison, following its branches in LV Dream Paris and Marina Bay Sands Singapore.

A Luxurious Confectionery Experience

The Shanghai store brings Louis Vuitton’s exclusive Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric line to China, presenting a unique blend of luxury and indulgence. The store is designed to evoke a tropical garden ambiance, featuring wooden trunk displays that stretch from floor to ceiling, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The playful decor includes Louis Vuitton’s iconic Vivienne mascot and The Petula pet lion, adding a whimsical touch to the sophisticated setting.

Signature Elegance and Quality

All chocolates sold at the Shanghai boutique are adorned with recognizable Louis Vuitton motifs, maintaining the maison’s commitment to high quality and exquisite craftsmanship. Sourced directly from Paris, these confections are a testament to the brand’s dedication to detail and luxury. The shop itself is housed within a petal monogram-shaped space, reflecting Louis Vuitton’s signature style and adding a distinctive element to the shopping experience.

A Personalized Touch for Shanghai

Chef Maxime Frédéric, known for his mastery in chocolate making, expressed his enthusiasm about the expansion. “We draw inspiration from local culture and lifestyle,” he said. “In the future, we plan to introduce customized creations for Shanghai, such as those for Chinese New Year. It’s essential for us to share the happiness and delight of these exquisite chocolate treats, as love is the most important ingredient in each piece of chocolate.” Prices for the chocolates range from $30 to $448 USD, offering a range of indulgent options for different tastes and budgets.

Grand Opening and Celebration

The Louis Vuitton chocolate shop in Shanghai officially opens to the public on July 23, perfectly timed to coincide with the Qixi festivities in early August. This new location invites visitors to indulge in a luxurious chocolate experience that combines the elegance of Louis Vuitton with the rich traditions of confectionery artistry.

With its unique blend of luxury, design, and high-quality craftsmanship, the Louis Vuitton chocolate store promises to be a highlight in Shanghai’s vibrant shopping scene and a must-visit destination for those seeking a touch of opulence and indulgence.
