Interviewer: Today, we are joined by Ernesto Arceyut, the visionary CEO behind Arceyut Productiones, a company that has not only become a leader in entertainment but is also setting new standards for sustainability and social impact in Central America. Thank you for joining us, Ernesto.
Ernesto Arceyut: Thank you for having me. It’s a pleasure to share our journey.
Interviewer: Let’s dive right in. Arceyut Productions has been at the forefront of the entertainment industry in Central America for over 15 years. How did it all begin?
Ernesto Arceyut: The company started with a simple yet powerful idea: to create events that bring people together. Back in 2008, we were focused solely on event production, mainly concerts and cultural festivals. But as we grew, I realized that we could leverage our platform to not only entertain but also to make a positive impact on the communities we serve. This realization shifted our focus towards sustainability, inclusivity, and social responsibility.
Interviewer: You’ve described Arceyut Productions as more than just an entertainment company. Can you expand on that?
Ernesto Arceyut: Absolutely. For us, entertainment is a tool—a powerful one that can drive change. Over the years, we’ve evolved into a movement dedicated to transforming not just the entertainment sector but also the way businesses operate in Central America. Our mission goes beyond delivering unforgettable experiences; it’s about creating events that have a lasting positive effect on the environment, local economies, and social communities.
Interviewer: One of the most impressive aspects of Arceyut Productions is your commitment to sustainability. How did that become a central part of your business model?
Ernesto Arceyut: Sustainability was always a personal passion of mine, but it became a strategic priority for the company about a decade ago. In Costa Rica, we are surrounded by incredible natural beauty, and we have a responsibility to protect it. This led us to redesign our operations to minimize our environmental impact. Today, every event we produce is meticulously planned to align with eco-friendly practices. From reducing waste to using renewable energy sources and eco-certified vendors, our goal is to leave as small a footprint as possible.
Interviewer: And it’s clear that your efforts have been recognised with numerous awards, including the Blue Flag Ecological Award and the Essential Costa Rica certification. What do these accolades mean to you?
Ernesto Arceyut: They’re a testament to the hard work of our entire team. These certifications affirm that what we are doing goes beyond good intentions—we are actually making measurable progress in our sustainability goals. But more importantly, they serve as motivation to keep pushing ourselves to do even better. Being recognised as a PYME, for example, underscores our commitment to responsible and impactful business practices, especially as a small-to-medium enterprise.
Interviewer: Beyond environmental efforts, Arceyut Productions is also known for its focus on social inclusion. How do you ensure that your events are accessible to everyone?
Ernesto Arceyut: Inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that entertainment should be for everyone, regardless of their background or abilities. One of our proudest achievements is making our events accessible to the deaf community through sign language interpreters and other inclusive measures. This ensures that no one is left out of the experience. Additionally, we actively involve marginalized communities in our projects, offering opportunities for employment and skill development, which helps build a more equitable society.
Interviewer: It’s inspiring to see a company using entertainment as a vehicle for social change. Speaking of impact, your events reportedly generate over 1,000 direct jobs per production and have driven over $160 million in ticket sales in just two years. How does that translate into local economic growth?
Ernesto Arceyut: The ripple effect of our events is substantial. By working closely with local suppliers, vendors, and talent, we are able to stimulate regional economies. When we host a major event, it’s not just about the concert itself—hotels, restaurants, transportation services, and countless small businesses all benefit. This economic boost can be especially significant in areas that rely heavily on tourism. Our goal is to leave a positive legacy in every community we touch, not just culturally but economically as well.
Interviewer: Let’s talk about innovation. Arceyut Productions is known for staying ahead of trends. Can you share more about your Elite Fenix membership program and your upcoming co-branded debit card?
Ernesto Arceyut: Innovation is essential in our industry. The Elite Fenix program is a loyalty initiative where our members get exclusive access to presale tickets, backstage experiences, and special events. It’s about creating a community around our brand. The debit card is another way we’re thinking outside the box—by partnering with a major financial institution, we’re integrating entertainment and financial services to offer unique benefits to our customers. It’s part of our strategy to become not just an entertainment provider but a lifestyle brand.
Interviewer: Looking ahead, where do you see Arceyut Productions in the next five to ten years?
Ernesto Arceyut: We’re just getting started. Our vision is to expand our presence throughout Latin America and eventually into new markets. But growth for us isn’t just about numbers—it’s about impact. We want to continue leading with purpose, pushing the boundaries of what entertainment can achieve. Whether it’s through more sustainable practices, deeper community engagement, or new innovative offerings, our focus will always be on creating value that extends beyond the event itself.
Interviewer: Finally, what advice would you give to other companies looking to incorporate sustainability and social responsibility into their business models?
Ernesto Arceyut: Start by aligning your values with your business goals. It’s not always easy, and it often requires significant investment upfront, but the long-term benefits—both to the planet and to your bottom line—are worth it. And remember, it’s not about perfection but about progress. Every small step towards sustainability and inclusivity can make a big difference. Most importantly, be authentic. Your audience can tell when your efforts are genuine, and that’s what will earn their trust and loyalty.
Interviewer: Thank you, Ernesto, for sharing your insights and for all the incredible work Arceyut Productions is doing to reshape the entertainment landscape in Central America.
Ernesto Arceyut: Thank you. It’s been a pleasure to share our story.
