Renowned fashion curator Motofumi “Poggy” Kogi has teamed up with Porsche to deliver a groundbreaking collaboration that merges the timeless allure of automotive design with classic sartorial influences. At the heart of this partnership lies Poggy’s reinterpretation of traditional style, harmonized with the legendary Porsche 911 Carrera T (Type 992), a vehicle he custom-designed through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur.
The accompanying apparel collection draws inspiration from the poised elegance of British Formula One legend Jackie Stewart and the effortless sophistication of Princess Diana. It features a mix of tartan patterns, refined tailoring, and relaxed staples such as V-neck sweaters and denim jackets. Poggy highlights the adaptability of this aesthetic, remarking that “Jackie Stewart’s less formal traditional style integrates perfectly with the spirit of the 911.” Similarly, Diana’s ability to balance comfort and refinement serves as a pivotal influence on the collection.
Poggy’s bespoke Porsche 911 Carrera T is a masterpiece in itself, featuring a sepia brown exterior that pays homage to the 1970s—the decade of his birth. Adorned with artistic illustrations that complement the apparel designs, the car embodies Poggy’s vision of understated luxury and casual sophistication. For Poggy, the ideal lifestyle is about embracing simplicity, whether “filling up at a gas station in workwear or enjoying manga while parked in a Porsche.” He envisions the car as a natural extension of his fashion ethos: elegant yet approachable.
Both the collection and the custom Porsche 911 Carrera T will be showcased at SELECT by BAYCREW’S in Tokyo’s Toranomon Hills Station Tower. This exhibition will also unveil a limited-edition apparel line created in collaboration with BAYCREW’S, with prices ranging from ¥13,200 to ¥60,500 JPY ($84 to $387 USD).
By blending traditional fashion influences with Porsche’s iconic design, Poggy redefines what it means to integrate style into everyday moments, proving that luxury can indeed be both timeless and accessible.
