Kayla Brooks: Thank you for having me! I’m thrilled to be here to talk about empowering women through wellness and reclaiming our feminine design.
Interviewer: Your journey is fascinating, from performing arts to modeling and fitness. Let’s start at the beginning. How did your passion for health and wellness develop?
Kayla: My journey began with a love for movement. As a young dancer, I trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary, which instilled discipline and a deep appreciation for physical expression. Later, modeling opened doors, but it also exposed me to the darker side of body image pressures. My time as an NPC bikini bodybuilding competitor taught me the importance of strength—physical, mental, and emotional. Each chapter was a stepping stone to creating Flex Your Feminine.
Interviewer: Flex Your Feminine has a unique mission. Can you tell us more about how you integrate ancestral nutrition and hormone-aligned strength training into your work?
Kayla: Absolutely. I believe women thrive when we align with our biological rhythms. Hormone-aligned strength training respects the female menstrual cycle, allowing women to work with their bodies, not against them. Ancestral nutrition emphasizes whole, nutrient-dense foods that our bodies are designed to process. Together, these methods help women reclaim energy, balance, and sustainable strength.
Interviewer: You’ve had an incredible career spanning various disciplines, including co-founding a fitness studio. What drove you to challenge mainstream fitness and dieting norms?
Kayla: Hustle culture and restrictive diets often push women to burnout and poor health. I’ve seen it firsthand in both myself and my clients. Women deserve a holistic approach that honors our design. My mission is to create sustainable programs that embrace proper rest, nourishment, and periodization for lasting wellness.
Interviewer: You’re also involved in philanthropy, supporting women rescued from generational trafficking. Can you share more about this work?
Kayla: Partnering with organizations that recognize women’s rights to freedom, sovereignty, responsibility and health is deeply important to me. I am proud to partner with organizations helping these women and children rebuild their lives. It’s about giving them tools to create a beautiful future of dignity.
