Reshaping Industries and Creating Jobs 

Under Mogodi’s leadership, MAB is embarking on a transformative new chapter, with over R1 billion in construction projects set to begin in February 2025. These projects are expected to generate over 10,000 jobs, making a significant contribution to South Africa’s economy. The company has also secured billion-rand coal export contracts, navigating the capital-intensive nature of the industry with unmatched dedication. Despite port sabotage and fierce competition, Mogodi’s strategic vision and perseverance have solidified MAB’s reputation as a titan in mining and exports.

Mogodi’s path has been far from easy. During the COVID-19 pandemic, MAB faced monumental challenges, including debts exceeding R50 million and project shutdowns. It was a time when many businesses folded, but Mogodi refused to give up. Even while navigating personal turmoil, including a divorce and limited access to his children, he rebuilt MAB from the ground up, securing critical contracts and reigniting growth. His story is a testament to the power of resilience, faith, and an unyielding commitment to success.

Funding Partnerships for a Global Vision 

As MAB continues to expand, Mogodi emphasises the importance of strategic funding partnerships to sustain and scale operations. Having self-funded its ventures and operations thus far, MAB has proven its capability in a capital-intensive industry. However, as the company aims to enhance its global footprint, Mogodi is seeking collaborations with funding partners to amplify MAB’s impact and unlock even greater opportunities.
