Aimé Leon Dore (ALD) has reignited its partnership with Porsche, unveiling a meticulously restored version of the iconic 993 Turbo. This collaboration, led by ALD’s visionary Creative Director Teddy Santis alongside Marc Shammah, Justin Placek, and a team of creative minds, brings a contemporary twist to a classic masterpiece.

A Tribute to the 993 Turbo

Originally hailed as a groundbreaking sports car of the 1990s, the Porsche 993 Turbo holds a revered place in automotive history. ALD’s reinterpretation elevates its legacy, blending heritage with the brand’s distinctive design ethos.

The standout feature of this bespoke restoration is its custom Mulberry Green exterior, a hue carefully developed and perfected by ALD over the years. Drawing inspiration from the high-performance 993 Turbo S, the car boasts upgraded aesthetics, including a whale-tail rear wing, a front splitter, and an enhanced exhaust system. These design elements are further complemented by 18-inch Porsche Turbo Twist rims, painted in Mulberry Green with striking gold accents and paired with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires.

Refined Luxury Interior

Stepping inside, the cabin showcases a meticulously crafted monochromatic design. Dark brown leather and plush lambswool upholstery dominate the interior, offering a tactile and visual feast. Hardback seats, matching carpets, and custom embroidery on the headrests create a harmonious aesthetic. A standout detail is the brass gear knob, uniquely shaped like the Unisphere—a nod to ALD’s Queens, New York roots. The door sills bear an evocative phrase: “A team from outta Queens with the American dream,” a poetic tribute to the brand’s humble beginnings.

993 Aimé Capsule Collection

To complement the automotive marvel, ALD will release a capsule collection dubbed “993 Aimé.” While details remain scarce, teaser images hint at the inclusion of a special edition New Balance 993, likely to accompany the launch. This collection reflects the seamless integration of fashion and automotive design that defines ALD’s collaborations.

Debut and Exhibition

This exclusive 993 Turbo restoration will make its official debut on November 22–23, taking center stage at ALD’s London flagship store on 32 Broadwick Street. The unveiling promises to attract both car enthusiasts and fans of ALD’s cutting-edge designs.
