Tom Holland and Austin Butler are teaming up for a new, high-octane film titled American Speed, a project recently acquired by Amazon MGM Studios after a competitive bidding war. The film, with its captivating storyline and high-profile cast, has already sparked significant interest in the industry.

American Speed is based on the true story of the Whittington brothers, three legendary race car drivers entangled in a major scandal within the world of the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) during the 1980s. The film’s narrative, penned by screenwriter Dan Wiedenhaupt, delves into the brothers’ controversial lives, highlighting their infamous role in a scheme involving drug smuggling, money laundering, and tax evasion.
