In an exclusive interview, Yuki Kaneko, the reigning Miss Asia USA International 2022-2023, opens up about her diverse career, her passions, and her ongoing journey as a visionary leader in beauty, business, and social impact. Far more than just a titleholder, Kaneko’s journey reflects the remarkable power of self-belief, resilience, and community building across multiple industries.

Interviewer: Yuki, you’ve had such a varied career, from film to corporate leadership. How do you feel your path has shaped your role as Miss Asia USA International?

Yuki Kaneko: My career has definitely been unconventional, but I believe that diversity has only strengthened my vision. Working in the film industry, especially being part of the Cannes Film Festival, taught me the value of storytelling and self-expression. Transitioning into corporate roles in Japan and Hong Kong further broadened my outlook, particularly in terms of business ethics and sustainable practices. Today, I’m proud to be part of the Passion Red Rose Association, where I advocate for responsible and sustainable business. It’s been an incredible journey, and being crowned Miss Asia USA International feels like a culmination of everything I’ve learnt.

Interviewer: You were part of Kenneth Burris’s fashion show in Paris recently. How was that experience?

Yuki Kaneko: It was amazing! Walking for Kenneth’s show during Paris Fashion Week was such a surreal experience. His designs are truly elegant and creative, and it was an honor to be part of that. The energy in Paris was incredible, and it was a dream come true to be on that stage. I’d love to return to London for my next show—there’s something magical about the fashion scene there.

Interviewer: You’ve talked a lot about women’s empowerment. How do you incorporate that into your career and leadership roles?

Yuki Kaneko: Empowerment is at the core of everything I do. In my corporate roles, I’ve worked hard to create environments that encourage openness, respect, and personal growth. It’s crucial that women and everyone really feel supported and valued in their workplaces. In pageantry, I strive to show women that you can succeed by staying true to yourself. Empowerment is about more than success; it’s about creating a culture where everyone can thrive together.

Interviewer: You started your pageantry career later than most. What inspired you to take that leap?

Yuki Kaneko: My time in the film industry definitely played a part in that decision. The Miss Asia USA pageant, with its emphasis on cultural exchange and world peace, felt like the perfect platform for me to highlight the values I hold dear—resilience, dedication, and the power of diversity. Even though I entered pageantry later in life, I believe that experience gave me the strength to embrace it fully.

Interviewer: Your work in community service has also been highly praised. Can you share what motivates you in that area?

Yuki Kaneko: Giving back has always been important to me. Whether it’s through cleaning temples or offering emotional support to those in need, I believe in the power of compassion and action. Community service is about helping others, but it’s also about fostering a sense of gratitude and connection. For me, pageantry is not just about the crown—it’s a platform for real impact.

Interviewer: As Miss Asia USA International, what’s next for you? What are your future goals?

Yuki Kaneko: I have ambitious plans! I want to use my platform to inspire future generations, especially young women, to pursue their dreams and remain true to themselves. Beyond that, I’ll continue my work in business and sustainability, and of course, my involvement in fashion and film. But most importantly, I want to keep advocating for mutual trust, respect, and empowerment—values that I believe can transform communities.

Interviewer: You’ve made a significant impact across media, fashion, and business. How do you manage to balance all these roles?

Yuki Kaneko: It’s all about finding balance and staying true to your core values. Whether I’m appearing in a commercial, working on a business initiative, or walking a fashion runway, my focus is always on authenticity. My journey has been filled with twists and turns, but I think that’s what makes it so rewarding.

Interviewer: In addition to your work in fashion and business, you’re also about to release a book. Can you tell us more about it?

Yuki Kaneko: Yes! I’m so excited about my upcoming book, “Life-Changing Lessons: 12 Routines to Take Care of Yourself.” It will be released on Kindle at the end of this month. This book is deeply personal and based on my own miraculous experiences. It focuses on routines that have transformed my life, and I’ve written it with women of the future in mind. My hope is to inspire readers to prioritize self-care and positivity, no matter what challenges they face. It’s global, uplifting content that I believe can truly make a difference.

Interviewer: That sounds wonderful. What inspired you to write this book?

Yuki Kaneko: My life has been filled with ups and downs, but through it all, I’ve found that creating positive, daily routines helped me stay grounded and empowered. I wanted to share these lessons with others, especially women who are navigating both personal and professional challenges. My experiences have taught me so much about resilience and self-care, and I hope this book provides practical tools for others to take control of their lives in a positive way.
